Joplin, Missouri Tornado Victims - How You Can Help

By Farrell Clancy | 05/24/2011

Why do I feel that there will be many more "how you can help natural disaster victims" posts as the summer storm season has barely kicked off and already we've had flooding in Memphis and other southern states; and April tornadoes that swept across the Midwest and South?

As you have probably already heard, a tornado ripped through the Southwestern City of Joplin, Missouri on May 22, killing over 100 people. Photos of the wreckage leave parts of the city completely unrecognizable.

The City of Lee's Summit, MO, a CityView customer, is sending rescue teams and medical support to Joplin through state-wide mutual aid.

Mashable lists 4 ways you can help using social media resources; and/or you can donate to these latest tornado victims; people who have lost their homes, clothing, health care items, and more via the Red Cross.
